Baldwin was on board to play Dennis Dupree, the owner of the Bourbon Room, the Sunset Strip nightclub at the center of the movie. The actor earlier this week informed New Line that he was dropping out for medical reasons but after some strong persuasions by the studio heads of New Line Warner Bros., Baldwin relented and said he would show up to the cast reading in Miami Thursday and take it from there. Director Adam Shankman tweeted that Baldwin showed up and by Friday Baldwin was officially back in.
