Actors union and Hollywood producers reach deal

LOS ANGELES - Movie producers and Hollywood's largest acting union said on Friday they had reached a tentative agreement on a new contract.

The joint announcement by the Screen Actors Guild, which has 120,000 members in film and prime time television, and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, which represents the major movie studios, ends a nine-month deadlock in acrimonious contract negotiations.
