Jack White, Soundgarden and Fistful of Mercy will be providing the music for the opening week of "Conan", which debuts on November 8. The November8 premiere is also supposed to feature the winner of a whimsical, first guest contest running on O'Brien's teamcoco.com website, where Jack Nicholson and Lady Gaga are currently ahead of Pope Benedict, Justin Bieber and Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin in the popular vote. "Conan" marks the comedian's return to television after quitting NBC's flagship "The Tonight Show" last January in a bitter stand-off with the network and talk show host Jay Leno. As part of a $45 million exit deal, O'Brien was barred from launching a new TV show before September 2010.
