Los Angeles, CA, United States (CNS) - While some are waiting for the return of "Glee" and others scratching their heads bald with "Lost," some of us are waiting for the second season premiere of the original Starz comedy "Party Down," which follows a group of struggling actors who dream of big things while working with a catering company in Los Angeles.
The second season sees some changes. Jane Lynch is out for the aforementioned "Glee" but returns to guest star for one episode, and "Will & Grace" star Megan Mullally is in, playing Lydia Dunfree, who hits Hollywood in order to achieve stardom for her 13-year-old daughter Escapade. Brilliant.
Co-creator Rob Thomas brings back his "Veronica Mars" star and friend Kristen Bell for another go as catering leader Uda Bengt of Valhalla Catering, along with guest stars Steve Guttenberg, who also had a stint on "Mars," J.K. Simmons, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Joey Lauren Adams, Loretta Devine, and more.
The second season of "Party Down," which also stars Adam Scott (who just picked up by NBC's "Parks & Recreation), Lizzy Caplan, Ken Marino, Martin Starr, and Ryan Hansen, premieres on Friday, April 23rd at 10pm ET/PT on Starz. Fans of the show and those needing to play catch-up can pick up the first season on DVD on April 10th.
