The site, whenwillamywinehousedie.com, was launched in 2007. It has since received hundreds of thousands of hits, 237 hate mails, and 97,026 predictions from people who forecast the date of Amy Winehouse's death. The first person to correctly guess when Amy Winehouse would die was promised the title of Mr. or Mrs. Death, and would also win an iPod Touch. Four people had the correct date. The first person to submit the actual date was a woman who sent in her prediction on Dec. 21, 2007. The winner was not identified. On the date of Amy Winehouse's death, the site posted the following message, "Amy Winehouse has passed away. Let's hope her demise is an example for young people on how not to deal with your problems. May she Rest in Peace and her music live on." Winehouse was found dead on Saturday.
