SEOUL, Nov 24 - South Korea's central bank said on Tuesday that its monetary policy board members would decide on its annual inflation target for the coming years on Nov. 26.
The new inflation target will apply from 2010 until the time specified by the board members, the Bank of Korea said in a response to a local report that the central bank will likely aim to control inflation at around 3 percent and tolerate a level of 1 percentage point above or below that level.
The current inflation target is 3 percent, with a margin of up to 0.5 percentage points permitted on either side.
