ShareThis March 10, 2010 9:55 a.m. EST Topics: human interest, accomplishment, social issue, entertainment, charity, arts, culture and entertainment, United States Hansen Sinclair - AHN Reporter Lake Buena Vista, FL, United States (AHN) - Disney theme parks are ending their "Give a Day, Get a Day" promotion after successfully inspiring 1 million people to volunteer in their communities. Disney accomplished its goal by offering a free one-day pass to any one of its theme parks in the United States in 2010, according to the HandsOn Network. The network worked in tandem with Disney on the venture. The program began Jan. 1. Since then, registration has been closed and the program has come to an end, according to reports. According to the rules of the program, in order to receive the one-day pass, volunteers had to complete a project approved by Disney. Passes were valid at any Walt Disney Resort in Florida or Disneyland Resort in California. Volunteers who received the passes have until Dec. 15 of this year to use them, reports stated.
