Approval had been withdrawn after media reports that the film would depict a love story between a Muslim girl and her Serb rapist during Bosnia's 1992-1995 war sparked a protest from the Women Victims of War association. "We just obtained the new licence for the shooting. We could finally continue with preparations and shoot within the planned deadlines at the locations that we have chosen," Edin Sarkic of local production company Scout Film told AFP. The shooting in Bosnia should start around November 10 and last for some two weeks, he added. The culture ministry of the Muslim-Croat Federation, one of Bosnia's two post-war entities, last week cancelled the licence given to Jolie for filming scenes of her first movie as a director in Sarajevo and the central town of Zenica. Both Jolie and the producer claimed it was a misunderstanding and urged the authorities to reconsider their decision. The ministry had demanded to be given the screenplay before delivering a new licence. Jolie has said that part of the reason for making the movie was to remind people of what happened during the war in Bosnia and to give attention to the survivors of the conflict that claimed some 100,000 lives. She has already shot some scenes in Hungary.
