Dental records confirmed the victim’s identity, said county sheriff Mark Hackel on Monday. An autopsy ruled out foul play as the cause of death. A toxicology exam was also conducted but results will be available after about four weeks. Widlak of Grosse Pointe Farms was last seen leaving the Mount Clemens bank on Sept. 19. A search was launched the following day after the bank’s maintenance worker discovered Widlak’s office in disarray and called 911. At 7 p.m. on Sunday, duck hunters found Widlak’s body under one-and-a-half feet of water in a marshy area of Lake St. Clair off Jefferson near Ballard in Harrison Township.
