Kuala Lumpur (The Star/ANN) - Astrologically, 2011 is going to be a better year than 2010.
Countries in South-East Asia will enjoy greater economic and financial growth.
I sat with my 7th generation astrologer and Vasthu Sastra master Yuvaraj Sowma in Chennai, India, recently to analyse the 12 zodiac signs to determine what lies ahead for individuals using the Indian almanac -- which is based on moon signs, known as rasi in Indian astrology.
Readers should note that Western astrology is based on sun signs.
Mesha (Aries)
Health: You need to be extra careful on matters related to your health because frequent visits to the doctor are expected in the last quarter of 2011.
Career: You will have some challenges at work and transfers are unavoidable. Think thrice before spending any money as unforseen expenditure is probably coming along.
Relationship: If you are single, you are likely to find your life partner this year.
Lucky Number: 9, 8 and 6.
Lucky colours: Blue and green.
Vrishabah (Taurus)
Health: Your energy level will be low. Elderly and weak people should take extra care to ward off ailments.
Career: You will enjoy increments and travels. Money flow will be steady and this is the best time to invest in property or a new vehicle.
Relationship: Married couples need to work on strengthening their relationship. If you are single, chances of getting married are high this year.
Lucky Number: 1 and 9
Lucky colours: Lotus pink
Mithunam (Gemini)
Health: In the first half of the year, your energy level will be quite high but poor health is indicated in the second half of the year.
Career: Work, finances and status will expand with renewed vigour and rewards will leap up.
Relationship: This is a complicated time for both new and old relationships and you should stand up for your beliefs and defend your positions, otherwise you risk losing everything.
Lucky Number: 3 and 5
Lucky colours: Yellow and green.
Kataka (Cancer)
Health: Take all possible care of yourself as your energy level will be quite low.
Career: There are high possibilities for promotion. If you are a new job seeker, there are good chances of better placements. Don't mix friendship and business affairs as you run a risk of remaining without both money and friends.
Relationship: Great changes beckon not only in your business affairs, but in your private life as well. Unstable unions will fade.
Lucky Number: 2, 7 and 9
Lucky colours: White, cream, red and yellow
Simma (Leo)
Health: Unexpected illness is indicated for this year. Do not hesitate to seek treatment.
Career: Misunderstanding and some difficulties at work or business are likely and you will be forced to make important changes.
Relationship: Interesting contacts and romantic adventure are expected to surface.
Lucky Number: 1, 4, 9
Lucky colours: Orange, gold and red.
Kanya (Virgo)
Health: Your energy level will be quite high and special attention should be taken on trips and while driving in the second half of 2011.
Career: The expansion of business, the purchase of an office and other personal transformations are all possibilities for you.
Relationship: Problems with relatives may appear but the relationship with your spouse will be smooth.
Lucky Number: 3, 6 and 7
Lucky colours: Green, white and yellow.
Tula (Libra)
Health: You will enjoy favourable health in the first six months but you need to minimise the risks of traumas and accidents in the later part of the year.
Career: Conflicts will dominate the first six months of 2011 and will eventually cause serious financial disagreements. However, new and better opportunities are indicated in the second half of 2011.
Relationship: You will have to overcome some upsetting situations as a new love may come into your life.
Lucky number: 2, 7, 1
Lucky colours: Orange and white
Vrischika (Scorpio)
Health: Your wellbeing will improve drastically but need to be careful of your health in the second half of 2011.
Career: Despite some professional problems, your general financial status will be quite stable.
Relationship: All quarrels in the family will come to a halt and pleasant times ahead are expected.
Lucky number: 3, 9 and 4
Lucky colours: Yellow, red and orange
Dhanus (Sagittarius)
Health: In the first half of the year, you will enjoy good health but medical expenses are indicated in the second half of 2011.
Career: Both disappointment and success are waiting for you. Frequent travels are unavoidable.
Relationship: New, interesting people will appear and change your life completely.
Lucky number: 6, 5
Lucky colour: Light blue and cream
Makara (Capricorn)
Health: You will enjoy good health and peace of mind.
Career: This year promises fresh professional success. Your desires will come true.
Relationship: Relations will be delicate and you should work on improving ties.
Lucky number: 6, 9 and 8
Lucky colour: White and blue
Kumbha (Aquarius)
Health: Illnesses are possible because problems caused by nervous pressure will appear.

Relationship: Single people are likely to have new acquaintances.
Lucky number: 3, 9 and 2
Lucky colours: Yellow and red
Meena (Pisces)
Health: It is advised to lead a healthy life and take all possible care of yourself.
Career: Delays, obstacles and difficulties will surface and you will have to spend time resolving them.
Relationship: There will be problems with children that require large expenses.
Lucky number: 1, 4 and 3
Lucky colours: Red and yellow
