A day after he declared to New York magazine that the show would end "next year," the Emmy-winning actor downplayed his statements in a Huffington Post blog on Thursday. "I want to take the opportunity to state that although my days on network TV may be numbered, I hope '30 Rock' goes on forever. Or at least as long as everyone involved desires," wrote Baldwin, who plays a right-wing media honcho on the show. "Next year hopefully won't be the last," he added. "Kenneth can run the network. Jenna will get her own talk show. Tracy will become Mayor of New York. Then resign to go raise exotic reptiles. And (Liz) Lemon (played by series creator Tina Fey) will go do ... just about anything she sets her mind to. Here's to five more seasons." Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that there had been no discussions about the show going off the air. This isn't the first time Baldwin, who plays Jack Donaghy, has talked about the show's future. Last year, he told CNN he was leaving the show once his contract ends in 2012, but his rep later said the actor has no such plans. And in 2009, Baldwin threatened to leave the profession altogether telling Us magazine, "I don't have any interest in acting anymore." Fey announced during a taping of The Oprah Winfrey Show Wednesday that she is pregnant with her second child.
