Catherine Zeta-Jones, Denzel Washington Among Big Winners At The Tonys

New York, NY, United States (AHN) - Catherine Zeta-Jones and Denzel Washington have nabbed Tony Awards for Best Actress Musical and Best Actor Play respectively. The two were among the big winners at the prestigious awards show in New York Sunday.
Zeta-Jones was honored with the award for her role in the musical revival of Stephen Sondheim's "A Little Night Music." She thanked her "movie star" husband, Michael Douglas, and her parents when accepted the award.
Washington, who won for his role in "Fences," said he was "amazed" and really "surprised" and "blessed."
Scarlett Johansson fulfilled childhood dream of being in Broadway, even winning a trophy for her featured role in the revival of Arthur Miller's "A View from the Bridge."
Also big winners of the night were Douglas Hodge (Best Leading Actor Musical, "La Cage aux Folles"), Eddie Redmayne (Best Featured Actor Play, "Red"), Levi Kreis (Best Featured Actor Musica, "Million Dollar Quartet"), Katie Finneran (Best Featured Actress Musical, "Promises, Promises"), and Viola Davis (Best Leading Actress Play, "Fences").
"Red" was declared the biggest winner of the night, taking home six awards, including Best Play, while "Memphis" took home five Tonys, including Best Musical.
"Promises, Promises" star Sean Hayes hosted the show held at the Radio City Music Hall in New York.
