The 78-year-old actor will receive the Lifetime Achievement award at the event, presented by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films. According to the awards group, Nimoy has "established himself as one of the great film and television stars with his performances in such television series as Mission Impossible and the original science fiction series, STAR TREK, in the 60s." Nimoy will next be seen in the newest "Star Trek" film as the older Spock. DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg is also set to receive a special award. He will be presented with The Visionary Award for "spearheading the 3D film presentation." "We salute him on his successful efforts in raising the level of animation in film and television. This year marks the debut of the Visionary Award specially created to pay tribute to one of the most imaginative filmmakers working in the industry today." Some of the films from DreamWorks include the blockbusters "Shrek" franchise, "Antz," "Bee Movie," and "Kung Fu Panda." The 35th Annual Saturn Awards will be held on June 24 in Burbank.
