ShareThis June 8, 2010 2:57 p.m. EST Topics: human interest, offbeat, curiosity, crime, law and justice, inquiry, United States Windsor Genova - AHN News News Writer El Paso, TX, United States (AHN) - A 14-year-old Mexican boy is dead after he was shot by a U.S. Border Patrol agent on the Mexico-U.S. border in El Paso, Texas, Mexican and U.S. officials reported Tuesday. The shooting occurred at 6:45 p.m. Monday when a group of people threw rocks at border patrol agents on bikes under the Paso del Norte Bridge. Mexican officials identified the fatality as Sergio Adrian Hernandez Huereca, a secondary student. He was on the Mexican side of the border when he was hit by a bullet. The FBI is investigating the incident and the agent who shot the teenager was put on leave with pay. His name was not revealed.
