Crude oil for October delivery closed at $74.60 a barrel down 42 cents following a weak jobs report that still posted better numbers than expected. Non-farm, private sector employment creation stood at 67,000 new jobs for August, better than forecasts of around 30,000 to 45,000 jobs. However, unemployment figures rose to 9.6 percent. And the number of underemployed people, those who need a full-time job but cannot find one, and either work part-time or do not seek work because of discouragement, rose to 16.7 percent. Overall, crude lost 0.8 percent this week, after gaining 2 percent last week.
