Entertainment  |  Television  |  People Bruce Beresford-Redman was named as the prime suspect shortly after the body of his Brazilian wife Monica was found in a drainage pipe at the Moon Palace hotel in April in the Caribbean resort of Cancun. He was ordered to surrender his passport and remain in Mexico but left the country under unclear circumstances and is now in California. He has denied any responsibility in his wife's death. "The (extradition) request from the foreign ministry has been presented to the corresponding authorities of the United States," said a foreign ministry official who declined to be named because he was not authorized to discuss the case. Mexican police say witnesses told them they saw the couple arguing on the hotel grounds the day of the murder. An autopsy showed she choked to death after a blow to the head.
