"Rango" tops another sluggish weekend for movies
LOS ANGELES - Animated family movie "Rango" topped North American box offices with $38 million over the weekend, according to studio estimates on Sunday, which was at the low-end of expectations as moviegoing remained sluggish at the start of 2011. "Rango," which features Johnny Depp as the voice of a colorful chameleon trying to bring law and order to a town in the old Wild West, had been estimated to bring in anywhere from $38 million to $42 million by distributor Paramount Pictures.
Def Leppard has eye on legacy with live album and tour
NEW YORK - British rockers Def Leppard are hitting the road this summer to support their first ever live album which aims to cement the band's reputation as one of rock's top touring acts 34 years into its career. "It's the first time we've taken stock of what we've done and delivered the live album fans have been asking for, for years," lead singer Joe Elliott told Reuters.
Mumbai slum fire destroys home of Slumdog actor
MUMBAI - A fire in a Mumbai slum destroyed the one-room shack of "Slumdog Millionaire" child actress Rubina Ali, leaving her family homeless, Ali said. The fire also swept through hundreds of tenements late on Friday near railway tracks where Ali continued to live even after gaining global recognition. Nobody was hurt in the fire.

David Arquette hurt but "okay" after car crash
LOS ANGELES - "Scream" actor David Arquette was involved in a car crash on Friday and taken to a hospital, but was "okay and is getting treatment," his spokeswoman said. Arquette, 39, the estranged husband of former "Friends" star Courteney Cox, was driving in the West Hollywood community of Los Angeles when his car smashed into another automobile, celebrity website TMZ.com said.
