Chase - AHN Editor Plantation, FL, United States (AHN) - Trappers caught a particularly nasty 200-pound hog Thursday that had been a nuisance to an affluent community in South Florida. The hog caught was one of 20 or so pigs that have been tearing up manicured lawns in the upscale neighborhood. Trappers spent a chilly night using dogs to track the feral animals. Residents called in professionals to hunt down the animals over fears they could be a physical harm to people. One arena they are harming is residents' expensive foliage. The animals are being pests, feasting on resident's lanscaping and gardens. The area sometimes known for its pig feasts is now known for its feasting pigs. One trapper said the wild beasts are not easy to find, as they are quite adept to hiding in foliage. Despite the difficulties, the 200-pound hog that was apprehended will likely be euthanized based on its disposition to humans and mean temper.
