Pakistan's 6-mth T-bill cut yield flat at 14.0108 pct
Reuters - 2 hours 13 minutes ago
KARACHI, Dec 3 - The cut-off yield on Pakistan's benchmark six-month Treasury bills was flat at 14.0108 percent at an auction on Wednesday, the central bank said.
The weighted average yield on the six-month paper was also 14.0108 percent, unchanged from the previous auction on Nov. 19, the State Bank of Pakistan said <SBPK12>.
The cut-off yield on the three-month paper was flat at 13.8549 percent, while the weighted average rose to 13.8549 percent, compared with 13.6934 percent.
The central bank rejected all bids for 12-month bills.
The central bank raised its key discount rate last month by 200 basis points to 15 percent and the International Monetary Fund approved a $7.6 billion loan for Pakistan to help avert a balance of payment crisis.
The bank said it sold 80 billion rupees of the three-month paper, and 1.5 billion rupees of the six-month paper, after receiving total bids of 158.43 billion rupees.
It had a combined auction target of 70 billion rupees. Settlement will take place on Thursday.
