ADVERTISEMENT "As far as I know, a joint inspection will be carried out in the middle of next month at the request of the Bank of Korea," a Financial Supervisory Service official was quoted as saying. The implementing arm of the Financial Services Commission is in direct charge of supervising local financial institutions. Yonhap quoted an unnamed Bank of Korea official as saying the inspection had nothing to do with monetary policy, but the report comes in the face of growing speculation of a shift in the central bank's policy toward a tightening stance.
