Georgian rebels free OSCE observers: mission

TBILISI (AFP) - - Separatist forces in Georgia's breakaway region of South Ossetia have released two OSCE observers detained on Tuesday, a spokeswoman for the OSCE's mission in Tbilisi told AFP.

"The situation is now over and they are returning to base," spokeswoman Martha Freeman said. "The facts of the matter are being looked into very carefully."
