Brother of Afghan minister kidnapped in Pakistan
AP - 41 minutes ago
KABUL, Afghanistan - A government official says the brother of Afghanistan's finance minister has been kidnapped by gunmen in Pakistan.
Haziz Shams, the spokesman for Afghanistan's Finance Ministry, says that Zia ul-Haq Ahadi, a businessman and the brother of Finance Minister Anwar ul-Haq Ahadi, was kidnapped in the Pakistani city of Peshawar on Friday.
Shams says it isn't clear who kidnapped Ahadi.
Earlier this year, Taliban gunmen kidnapped Pakistan's ambassador to Afghanistan on the main highway in between Peshawar and the Afghan-Pakistan border. He was freed after three months in captivity.
