Windsor Genova - AHN News Writer

London, United Kingdom (AHN) - Britain's Ministry of Defense (MoD) on Thursday made public some 6,000 pages of alleged UFO sightings over the country from 1994 to 2000.
The sources of the UFO sightings were individuals, UFO investigators and police reports.
The Hale-Bopp comet discovered in 1995 was credited for causing hundreds of UFO reports in 1996 and 1997, when it was brightest in the night sky, according to David Clarke, consultant on the UFO files for the National Archives.
The MoD's only action on reports of UFO sighting was to ascertain if national security is threatened. As there was no threat, no further investigation is conducted and the UFO was not identified, an MoD letter in 1994 stated.
One reported sighting in Birmingham, England in March 1997 described the UFO as Toblerone-shaped, referring to the triangular chocolate bar brand.
