S.Korea c.bank to recover all FX loans to banks
Reuters - Monday, August 3
SEOUL, Aug 3 - South Korea's central bank said on Monday it planned to call in all remaining foreign-currency loans from local banks at their maturity this week as domestic foreign-exchange liquidity conditions had improved.

The Bank of Korea will withdraw all the $600 million in loans it had provided to local banks in currency swaps when they come to maturity on Thursday, it said in a statement.
South Korean banks had borrowed a total of $10.27 billion from the Bank of Korea between Oct. 21 and Dec. 16, 2008, to meet their foreign-exchange fund needs and have so far paid back all but $600 million as the funding situation has improved.
