"The King's Speech," "True Grit" lead Oscar field
 
BEVERLY HILLS, California - Long live the king. "The King's Speech," a British drama about wartime monarch King George VI's struggle to overcome a crippling stammer, led the Oscar field on Tuesday with 12 nominations, including best picture.
 
Doctor pleads not guilty in Michael Jackson's death
 
LOS ANGELES - Michael Jackson's personal physician declared "I am an innocent man" as he pleaded not guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter on Tuesday, two weeks after he was ordered to stand trial for his role in the pop star's 2009 death. The judge presiding over the case against Dr. Conrad Murray also set a trial date for March 28 and scheduled a hearing for February 7 on a number of procedural issues, including a possible decision on whether television coverage of the trial will be allowed.
 
"Jersey Shore" to shoot Season 4 in Italy
 
LOS ANGELES - Snooki and her fist-pumping pals are headed overseas. U.S. network MTV announced Tuesday that season four will shoot in Italy this spring.

BOSTON - It's been an up and down few years for comedian Jay Leno, but the comedian and talk show host got some good news on Monday when he was dubbed "Man of the Year" by Harvard's Hasty Pudding Theatricals. Leno, 60, joins actress Julianne Moore who was recently chosen as Woman of the Year by the club, the oldest college drama group in the United States.
 
Former MSNBC anchor Olbermann says career not dead
 
LOS ANGELES - Former MSNBC anchor Keith Olbermann, who abruptly left his top-rated show at the U.S. cable news network last week, said on Monday that "reports of the death of my career are greatly exaggerated." In his first comments since his departure, the liberal broadcaster, who often butted heads with MSNBC management, took to Twitter to share his thoughts with fans.
 
Oprah Winfrey says speechless at news of half-sister
 
LOS ANGELES - Oprah Winfrey on Monday revealed that she had a half-sister that she only found out about late last year, saying the news left her speechless. Welcoming single mother of two Patricia to an emotional reunion on her daytime talk show, Winfrey said her mother Vernita Lee kept the birth in 1963 a secret and gave the baby up for adoption.
 
Judi Dench, Plan B among South Bank Award winners
 
LONDON - Veteran British actress Judi Dench was honored at the South Bank Sky Arts Awards on Tuesday for a career that has spanned more than 50 years. Other winners included low-budget movie "Monsters," which beat Mike Leigh's "Another Year" and Clio Barnard's "The Arbor" in the best film category.
 
Kardashian sisters continue to draw high TV ratings
 
LOS ANGELES The premiere of U.S. cable network E!'s reality series "Kourtney & Kim Take New York" was the most-watched opener of the series to date.
