WELLINGTON, March 22 - New Zealand's Auckland City Council set the interest rate on its NZ$350 million ($246 million) five-year retail notes offer at 6.28 percent, it said on Monday.
The council had previously said the final rate would be the higher of either 6.25 percent or 111 basis points over the five-year swap rate.
The issue, rated AA-minus by S&P, will trade on the NZX's debt market on March 25.
Auckland will use the funds for general financing purposes.
Bank of New Zealand and Westpac Institutional Bank were bookrunners with First NZ Capital Securities and Goldman Sachs JBWere also acting as joint leads.
