Writers Guild honors "Social Network," "Inception"
LOS ANGELES - Facebook film "The Social Network" and thriller "Inception" won top honors from the Writers Guild of America on Saturday in one of the last major Hollywood award shows before the Oscars later this month. "Social Network" writer Aaron Sorkin took the award for best adapted screenplay from the group that represents U.S. film and television writers and "Inception" creator Christopher Nolan was named best writer of an original script.
Lindsay Lohan denies jewelry theft, her lawyer says
LOS ANGELES - Lindsay Lohan's lawyer on Saturday denied reports that the actress had stolen a necklace and said any charges against her would be fought in court. Los Angeles police have been investigating allegations that the "Mean Girls" star walked off from a jewelry store last month without paying for a $2,500 necklace.

NEW YORK - When Lady Gaga leaked the lyrics to "Born This Way" online last week, the pop star also revealed the production team behind her highly anticipated next single. Along with Gaga and Interscope producer/songwriter Fernando Garibay, the music is credited to DJ White Shadow -- a Chicago producer and mixtape specialist whose real name is Paul Blair.
Documentary "Inside Job" has inside track to Oscar
LOS ANGELES - Documentary director Charles Ferguson knew he had a great global story in the 2008 financial crisis, but he still worried that "Inside Job" could fall into the category of a boring film if not jazzed up properly. So he applied tools normally associated with feature films, like expansive cinematography and what he calls "cool music" to help illustrate how America and the world ended up in the deepest financial disaster since the Great Depression.

Black Eyed Peas set to bring sport anthems to Super Bowl
DALLAS - With a set-list packed with sport stadium anthems, the Black Eyed Peas will take their place as the NFL's unofficial house band with a high-energy halftime performance at Super Bowl XLV on February 6 in Dallas. When the Grammy Award-winning hip-hop group takes to the stage at Cowboys Stadium on Sunday, they will have come full circle, going from an opening act at an earlier Super Bowl to headlining the most viewed TV program in the United States.
New SeaWorld whale show has trainers out of water
ORLANDO, Florida - A year after a SeaWorld trainer was grabbed and drowned by a killer whale in front of tourists, park officials unveiled a new show in which trainers staying out of the water tank. The new show, called "One Ocean," which was announced in Orlando Thursday, will feature whales playing in giant fountains instead of with people. It will debut in late April at SeaWorld Orlando and in late May at SeaWorld San Diego and in June at SeaWorld San Antonio.
