The image appeared Sunday, Feb. 28 on a bedroom door where her friend had slept the night before, according to Carolina Martinez. Martinez took a picture of the saintly image and showed an elder at her church, but the elder dismissed it as a bunch of lines, reports stated. However, Martinez told neighbors, and that night hundreds of people showed up to see the image which is a sacred figure in Hispanic religious culture. Although the numbers have died down since, Martinez said many visitors still come at night to see the Mother of God, bringing candles and flowers, mostly in the evening, according to reports. With all the visitors she has had, Martinez is still waiting for someone from the Catholic Church to come see the image. She said she wants to know what to do; whether or not it is a sign to build a chapel to figure and the Lord.
