SEOUL, Sept 25 - South Korea's foreign exchange reserves may hit $255 billion by the end of September, an online news provider reported on Friday, citing a finance ministry official.

"With a weaker U.S. dollar buoying yen- and euro-denominated assets, it is possible for foreign exchange reserves to reach $255 billion at the end of September," a high-ranking finance ministry official said, according to EDaily.

As of end-August, the nation's forex reserves stood at $245 billion.
