Car bomb in northern Iraq kills at least seven
AFP - Sunday, November 16
MOSUL, Iraq, Nov 15, 2008 (AFP) - - At least seven people were killed and more than two dozen wounded Saturday when a car bomb exploded near an auto dealership in the northern Iraqi town of Tal Afar, Iraqi police said.
The US military meanwhile said in a statement that 10 people were killed in the bombing and another 20 were wounded.
The town is halfway between Iraq's border with Syria and the northern city of Mosul, which the US military considers the last remaining urban bastion of Al-Qaeda in Iraq.
