Brown briefed reporters Saturday before a G-20 summit on the global financial crisis. He says the talks are difficult but he hopes to persuade countries to reach agreement on concrete actions by the end of the day. Brown offered no details on what progress had been made but said nations are likely to agree on reforms to global financial institutions within months. He said reform plans will be followed up at another meeting next year. Brown said discussions may also set a deadline for long stalled talks on a world trade deal.
