Israeli army invesigating alleged prisoner abuse
AP - Friday, November 7
JERUSALEM - The Israeli military says it has launched an investigation after a local TV station aired video allegedly showing soldiers humiliating a bound and blindfolded Palestinian prisoner.
The pictures screened by Channel 10 show a man forced to repeat Hebrew phrases. Some referred to the Golani infantry brigade, while some were of a sexual nature.
The TV did not say where the incident occurred or show the alleged abusers but it said they were Golani troops who filmed the proceedings for their own amusement.
A military statement condemned the behavior shown in Thursday's broadcast.
