KARACHI, Nov 22 - Following is a list of events in Pakistan as well as news stories and press reports which may influence financial markets.

WHAT IS HAPPENING IN PAKISTAN, ALL TIMES LOCAL FOLLOWED BY GMT: (The inclusion of diary items does not necessarily mean that Reuters will cover the event)
MARKET SNAPSHOTS
* Pakistani markets were closed from Wednesday to Friday on account of Eid holidays.
* On Tuesday, the rupee <PKR=> ended weaker at 85.55/60 to the dollar, compared with its previous close of 85.47/52 to the dollar amid higher import payments.
* The Karachi Stock Exchange's benchmark 100-share index <.KSE> ended 0.52 percent, or 56.34 points, higher at 10,965.99 on turnover of 74.21 million shares on Tuesday. [.KA]
* Foreign investors bought shares worth a net $1.26 million on Tuesday.
* S&P 500 stock index futures rose at the start of trade on Sunday after the EU and IMF agreed help to bail out Ireland with loans to tackle the country's banking and budget crisis.
The major stock indexes finished little changed on Friday after China's central bank raised bank reserve requirements for the second time in two weeks, stepping up its fight to rein in prices in a move that could temper growth. [ID:nTOE6AI071] [.N]
* U.S. crude futures rose above $82 a barrel on Monday, helped by a weaker dollar against the euro after the EU and IMF agreed to help bail out Ireland with loans to tackle the country's banking and budget crisis.
NYMEX crude for new front-month January delivery <CLc1> was up 37 cents at $82.35 a barrel by 2358 GMT. The December contract expired on Friday, settling down 34 cents at $81.51, after China increased bank reserve requirements to fight inflation. [O/R]
* Gold ticked higher on Monday as the euro gained after Ireland's rescue deal, helping the metal resist pressure from China's move to tighten its economy.
Spot gold <XAU=> added $6.60 an ounce to $1,360.75 an ounce by 0244 GMT, still well below a lifetime high around $1,424 an ounce struck in early November. U.S. gold futures for December delivery <GCZ0> rose $7.7 to $1,360 an ounce. [GOL/]
