Crestview, FL, United States (AHN) - A man arrested for DUI tried to make a bar buddy out of his arresting officer by asking him his alcoholic beverage of choice, according to reports.
An officer pulled over the 30-year-old man Jan. 31 when he saw him weaving as he was driving, according to Crestview police reports.
When the cop approached the man's truck and asked why he was swerving, the driver reportedly told the officer that he was just trying to make it home.
The officer then asked man to step out of the vehicle to perform a field sobriety test. The man refused the test, but handed his keys over to the officer, declaring he was done drinking for the night, according to reports.
As the officer drove the intoxicated man to the Okaloosa County jail, the man quizzed the officer on his favorite alcoholic drink. He then requested the officer turn on his lights while driving him to jail.
