The sentence took place in a Los Angeles court room on Friday. The judge sentenced Spector to 15 years to life for second-degree murder of Clarkson. He was also sentenced 4 years for personal use of a gun. KTLA reports that Spector looked impassively at the judge as the verdict was given. He is also ordered to pay restitution payments, including funeral expenses. Spector and his lawyers still maintain his innocence and Spector is expected to appeal the decision.. "The evidence did not establish Mr. Spector's guilty beyond a reasonable doubt," Spector's attorney Doron Weinberg said. . The 69-year-old music producer would be 88-years-old before he would be eligible for parole. The mother of the victim, Donna Clarkson, appeared in court and told the judge how heartbroken she was over the death of her daughter, who was 40-years-old when she died. "All our plans together are destroyed. Now I can only visit her in the cemetery," she said. Spector's young wife, Rachelle Spector, also appeared in court. "This is a sad day for everybody involved," she said. "The Clarkson family has lost a daughter and a sister. I've lost my husband, my best friend. I feel that a grave injustice has been done and from this day forward I'm going to dedicate myself to proving my husband's innocence."
