ShareThis March 5, 2010 5:57 a.m. EST Topics: television, arts, culture and entertainment, movies, United States Andy Bockelman - Celebrity News Service Reporter Los Angeles, CA, United States (CNS) - The prelude to the 82nd annual Academy Awards will feature two new faces, as well as welcoming back an old one. Sherri Shepherd, Jess Cagle and Kathy Ireland will co-host the awards night pre-show "Oscars Red Carpet? 2010" March 7 on ABC. The team-up of the three varied hosts was commissioned by Oscar telecast producers Adam Shankman and Bill Mechanic. As one of the five regular panel members of the women's talk show "The View," Shepherd is no stranger to celebrity interviews. Her experience in entertainment includes appearances on shows like "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "30 Rock," in addition to starring in her own self-titled Lifetime original series "Sherri." She also is featured in one of the most Oscar-nominated films of the evening, "Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire," which is up for the awards of Best Picture, Director, Actress, Supporting Actress and Adapted Screenplay, among other honors. Magazine powerhouse Cagle is also skilled in the subject of celebrity interviews, as the former executive editor of People and the current managing editor of Entertainment Weekly, taking up the helm in 2009. He was also a West Coast senior editor for Time. This is his second consecutive year serving as host for "Oscars Red Carpet." Though not as established as an interviewer, newcomer Ireland is well-known for being in front of the camera as one of the most successful fashion supermodels of all time. The beauty has also parlayed into the business world as the CEO and chief designer of Kathy Ireland Worldwide, which manufactures numerous home and beauty products, including home office and entertainment furnishings, bedding, jewelry and skin care products, among other items. The company has an estimated annual sales total of $1.4 billion. With Shepherd, Cagle and Ireland ready to welcome viewers to the festivities, the traditional live lead-in to the biggest night in Hollywood, hosted by Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin, will begin at 8 p.m. ET, with the ceremony starting at 8:30.
