Weather forecast for the Asia-Pacific region

Mild weather is expected over most of Asia on Sunday, as higher pressure builds over China and replaces a trough of low pressure.
A low pressure system will move over northeastern China and extend into the Korean Peninsula. Flow around this system will pull moisture off of the Yellow Sea and spread precipitation over the region, which will move over the Sea of Japan and may reach into northern Japan by evening.
Expect snow over North Korea on Sunday. Tokyo, however, will remain mostly sunny with highs around 8 Celsius. Seoul will remain under overcast skies also with highs near 10 C.
Meanwhile in China, high pressure will build over the country and allow for mostly sunny skies with warm and dry conditions.
Beijing and Shanghai will be sunny with highs in the teens C. To the south, onshore flow will return, pulling moisture over southern China from the South China Sea. Thus, Hong Kong will see scattered showers with highs in the upper teens C.
In Australia, a low pressure system will pass to the south of the country. This will create a front that will bring scattered showers to Victoria and New South Whales. Sydney, however, will remain sunny with highs near 32 C.
To the north, onshore flow will bring another round of scattered showers and thunderstorms to the Northern Territory and Queensland.
