A rusted cable may cause the spare tire to fall onto the road and crash into a car behind, according to Toyota. Those with rusted cables will be notified to return to the dealer to get a fix that will be announced later. There are no reports of crashes or injury stemming from the flaw in 1998 to 2010 models of two-wheel drive Siennas sold in the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Vermont, Wisconsin and West Virginia and the District of Columbia.
