"Mine," the first single from the country-pop starlet's upcoming album, was rush-released to digital retailers late last Wednesday after a low-quality version leaked online.
Canada rockers Arcade Fire heat up U.S. album chart
LOS ANGELES - Montreal rock band Arcade Fire illuminated the top spot on the U.S. pop chart for the first time in its career on Wednesday. The group sold 156,000 copies of "The Suburbs," its third release, during the week ended August 8, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Its previous album, 2007's "Neon Bible," debuted at No. 2 with 92,000 copies.
"Heartbroken" Fantasia overdoses over married man affair
LOS ANGELES - "American Idol" winner Fantasia Barrino overdosed on aspirin and sleeping pills after finding herself in the middle of an ugly divorce involving a married man, celebrity website TMZ reported on Tuesday. Fantasia, 26, a single mom who won the popular TV singing contest in 2004, was hospitalized in North Carolina on Monday but is stable and is expected to be released soon, her manager said in a statement to TMZ.
