A source close to Yahoo told Reuters the company, however, is not actively eliciting or reviewing proposals, and nor is it in active discussions with AOL. UK navy's website hacked: Ministry of Defence LONDON - Britain's Royal Navy was forced to take down its website after it was disrupted by hackers, the Ministry of Defense said on Monday. A message on the website reads: "Unfortunately the Royal Navy website is currently undergoing essential maintenance. Please visit again soon." Britain's queen wins 60,000 fans on Facebook debut LONDON does not allow users to "friend" the Queen or to send her messages, but offers updates on royal news and diary events. Google bars data from Facebook as rivalry heats up SAN FRANCISCO - Google Inc <GOOG.O> will begin blocking Facebook and other Web services from accessing its users' information, highlighting an intensifying rivalry between the two Internet giants. Google will no longer let other services automatically import its users' email contact data for their own purposes, unless the information flows both ways. It accused Facebook in particular of siphoning up Google contact data, without allowing for the automatic import and export of Facebook users' information. BlackBerry's corporate dominance seen eroding TORONTO - Shares in Research In Motion <RIM.TO> <RIMM.O> slipped more than 3 percent on Friday morning as investors fretted the BlackBerry smartphone's stranglehold on corporate communications was being eroded by rival devices. Bank of America <BAC.N> and Citigroup <C.N> have joined a growing throng of financial institutions eyeing alternatives to the BlackBerry for corporate email. SAP to get its shot at Ellison in high-stakes trial OAKLAND, California - SAP AG <SAPG.DE> will get its chance to take on Oracle Corp <ORCL.O> CEO Larry Ellison on Monday when he takes the stand as the U.S. software maker's star witness in a high-profile software theft trial. SAP, Europe's largest software firm, has admitted to liability for theft of Oracle software files by a now-defunct subsidiary, TomorrowNow. They are fighting it out in a California courtroom to determine how much the German company should compensate its bigger American rival. Microsoft's Ballmer sells 12 percent of his stake in company SEATTLE - Microsoft Corp <MSFT.O> Chief Executive Steve Ballmer sold $1.3 billion worth of shares in the company, cutting his stake by about 12 percent, but said his first stock sale in seven years should not be taken as a lack of confidence in the world's largest software firm. Ballmer said he will sell more shares by the end of the year, in a move to diversify his investments and plan for taxes, but the company sought to allay talk that the 54-year old executive, who has been CEO since 2000, may be preparing an exit from the company. Contractor alleged Hurd divulged EDS plan: source SAN FRANCISCO - A former Hewlett-Packard Co <HPQ.N> contractor once claimed Mark Hurd divulged details about HP's plans to acquire Electronic Data Systems Corp before the deal was announced in 2008, a source familiar with the matter said on Friday. A spokesman for Hurd denied the allegation. Jodie Fisher, the contractor at the center of the controversy that led to Hurd's ouster as CEO of HP on August 6, made the allegation in the same June 24 letter in which she accused him of sexually harassing her, the source said. Dell switching off BlackBerry, onto own smartphone SAN FRANCISCO - Dell Inc <DELL.O> will shift thousands of its employees off Research in Motion Ltd's <RIM.TO> BlackBerry and over to Dell's smartphones, the company said on Thursday. The money-saving switch affects the roughly 25,000 Dell employees who carry a company-issued BlackBerry. Dell employs around 100,000 people worldwide. Western Digital looking at digital home for growth LOS ANGELES - Hard drive manufacturer Western Digital Corp <WDC.N> is focusing on investing in products and strategies to serve the "digital home," said the company's chief financial officer.
