Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) - Ludacris came out on top with his "Battle of the Sexes" on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The rapper's seventh studio album, fronted by the single "My Chick Bad" with Nicki Minaj and "How Low," debuted at #1 on the chart, selling 137,000 copies in its first week. It's the first time he's debuted in the #1 spot since 2006's "Release Therapy" and his third album to do so. Lady Antebellum drop down from #1 last week to #3 with their album "Need You Now" moving 105,000 copies this week. At #4 is a debut from The Jimi Hendrix Experience. "Valleys of Neptune," the latest posthumous release from the late guitarist/singer, debuts at #4 with 95,000 copies.
Country singer Gary Allan debuts at #5 this week with his eigth studio album, "Get Off on the Pain." It moves 65,000 copies this week. Sade drops to #6 this week with "Soldier of Love," with 52,000 copies. The album should surpass the million sales mark by next week.
Alterna-rockers Broken Bells earn a #7 bow for their self-titled debut, which sells 49,000 copies on the strength of singles "The High Road" and "October." Lady Gaga follows at #8 this week with "The Fame" moving 47,000 copies. Gaga's album surpassed the 3 million unit sales mark this week.
Rounding out the top 10 this week are the Black Eyed Peas, who hold the #9 spot this week with "The E.N.D." selling 43,000 copies on the strength of hit singles like "Imma Be."
