Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) - Miley Cyrus really wants to leave the music industry. The soon-to-be ex-“Hanna Montana” star says she wants to ditch singing for acting in films. Her last album is expected to come out in June.
When the outspoken 17-year-old appeared on “The View,” she said that she has gotten a bit dismayed with the music industry.
And when eonline.com asked her again, she said she wants to work in the movies instead.
She said, “I’ve got a record coming out in June and then I’m done. I just want to work in movies. That’s what I like and that’s what I want to be doing.”
But maybe she just means quitting pop music?
Late last year, she told a U.K. morning show that she was working on her “last pop record” because she wanted to create “edgier” music.
She told GMTV, “I kinda want this to be my last record for a little while and be able to take a break and just get all the types of music that I really love… you know my favorite styles.”
“In a few years, as I grow up, so will my fans and I won’t have to focus on that as much and I’ll be able to have more of the sound of music that I’m into.”
