**HYNIX TUMBLES ON NEGATIVE BROKERAGE NOTE**
Shares in Hynix Semiconductor <000660.KS> tumbled after Goldman Sachs lowered its earnings per share estimates on the company through 2010.
"Although we had previously expected earnings could bottom in the third quarter, 2008, we now expect the fourth quarter could be the bottom due to weak DRAM prices," Goldman said in its report on Tuesday.
"We think there could be further downside risk to DRAM wafer growth in 2009, due to further capacity cuts recently announced by Taiwanese DRAM makers during their earnings announcement," it said.
Shares in the world's No.2 memory chip maker were down 7.27 percent.

**HANA TOUR FALLS ON WEAK MONTHLY RESULTS**
Shares in Hana Tour <039130.KQ> fell 8.12 percent to 19,800 won after the firm posted a net loss in October.
Hana Tour said just before Monday's market close that it had swung to a 1.7 billion won net loss for October from a year ago.
The junior Kosdaq <.KQ11> market was up 0.99 percent.

**DAEWOO SHIPBUILDING UP ON EASING CONCERNS OVER SALE**
Shares in Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering <042660.KS> extended gains for the fourth straight session as worries over its sale eased.
Shares in Daewoo jumped 9.89 percent to 15,000 won.
In late October, chemical-to-brokerage conglomerate Hanwha Group was selected as the preferred bidder for Daewoo Shipbuilding. [ID:nSEO172942]
"There were doubts on synergies over its sale after Hanwha, an unexpected bidder, was picked. But now, investors are focusing on own corporate value," said Cho In-karp, an analyst at Goodmorning Shinhan Securities.

**BUILDERS JUMP AFTER GOVT UNVEILS STIMULUS PACKAGE**
Shares in construction firms jumped, with the sector sub-index <.KS203> up 7.78 percent after the government announced on Monday an $11 billion package to boost the South Korean economy, which includes extra spending on real estate and construction industries.
Top builder Hyundai Engineering & Construction <000720.KS> soared 11.6 percent to 55,800 won, while GS Engineering & Construction <006360.KS> jumped 12.59 percent to 62,600 won.
"In the long term, can be positive for the industry in order to help increase demand. But for now, times are still tough as problems on unsold homes still remain," said Cho Yoon-ho, an analyst at Daishin Securities.
