ShareThis June 15, 2010 3:53 p.m. EST Topics: company information, new product, music, economy, business and finance, arts, culture and entertainment, popular music, United States Anthony Jones - AHN Entertainment Reporter Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) - After being immortalized on screen in last year's "This Is It" and soon on stage in his own Cirque du Soleil show, Michael Jackson is now going to star in a brand new video game. Utilizing new technology being developed for the game, the interactive game will allow fans to test their skills as they sing and dance like the King of Pop. The still untitled video game, Jackson's first since his "Moonwalker" game for Sega Genesis and arcades back in 1989, is currently in development from Ubisoft and will include use of the new Kinetic technology from Xbox 360 and Move from PlayStation, which will be able to track the movements of players using cameras and recreate them on screen. The game will allow fans to learn Michael Jackson's dance moves and perform them within the game to the tune of classics like "Beat It" and "Billie Jean." Fans will also test their vocal skills within the game as well. The songs to be featured from Jackson's extensive catalog will be announced at a later date. "We're delighted to have the opportunity to develop a game based on the songs and moves of one of the world's most incredible performers of all time," said Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft. "We expect the game to bring Michael Jackson fans, families and friends together with the energetic song and dance of The King of Pop." The game will hit stores in time for the holidays and will be available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, as well as handheld systems PSP and Nintendo DS.
