Credit: Reuters/Niklaus Larsson/Scanpix STOCKHOLM | Mon Sep 27, 2010 11:11am EDT STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - Sweden's opposition Green Party said on Monday it had met with center-right prime minister Fredrik Reinfeldt but still ruled out any broad agreement to support his cabinet. "We have not been in negotiations and we have no agreement ... There is no common offer from the Alliance on the possibility of starting any form of coalition negotiations," Joint Green party leader Peter Eriksson said, adding the center-right coalition was split on the question. The Green party's other joint leader, Maria Wetterstrand, said the party would be open to co-operation with the center-right on immigration issues to ensure the anti-immigrant Sweden Democrats, who hold the balance of power in parliament, did not gain influence. Reinfeldt's ruling coalition won 173 seats in the election last week, but fell short of the 175 seats needed for a majority. Reinfeldt has previously said he would reach out to the opposition Green Party for support.
