He giggled, "This is the power of love!" Liu revealed that in the past, he did not even know how to fill in the lyrics when he was composing a song. However, as he wanted the girl to know how he felt about her, he tried writing lyrics for the first time and presented the song "Together" to her. Although Liu did not win the girl's heart eventually, he admitted that his "virgin experience" in writing the lyrics was a special and unforgettable one. That song is also found in his EP "Together" which he took almost two years to prepare. He described music as "air" and "water"; essentials he cannot live without. A famous composer, on his lists of works include songs sang by famous singers such as Na Ying and Stefanie Sun. Interestingly, out of the hundreds Liu had composed, only three songs were sang by male singers! Besides the very first song he composed, Liu also recorded four other songs which he composed for four female divas of different regions his EP. "I don't want people to think that ' Oh, he's yet another singer' or 'He's another composer who sings he own songs'," he explained why he did not want to release a completely new album. In the EP, he rearranged Jolin Tsai's "Feel Your Presence" from a mid-range tempo song to a dance hit, not because he is a closet dancer. "I don't even know how to dance! I could only sway to the music, but I might learn dancing in the future!" he chuckled. However, he found a little regret in this EP; he felt the album would have been more complete if he could compose a song for Fish Leong. His greatest wish is to compose songs for Malaysia's diva Fish Leong and Hong Kong veteran singer Eason Chan who has great singing techniques and is versatile in the genres of songs he sings. Having interacted with many singers, the one who left him a deep impression on him is Chinese diva, Na Ying. Liu recalled that Na was in Singapore to record her song "Laugh Away" when he grabbed the rare opportunity to visit her. Na is like a "Mo Lei Tau" (satirically humorous) big sister, and that etched a strong impression in Liu's heart. Liu added, "Whether Na Ying knows you or don't, she just mixes around with everyone very well; she has no airs." Liu encourages those who have a dream to become a composer to go all out and pursue the dream. "After you've composed your first song, you'll subsequently compose more songs naturally," Liu said.
