Taiwan sells 20-yr bonds at 2.21 pct yield -c.bank

 Reuters - 1 hour 44 minutes ago
TAIPEI, Feb 11 - Taiwan auctioned T$30 billion of 20-year treasury bonds at a yield of 2.21 percent, the central bank said on Wednesday, in line with the low end of market expectations.

Bond dealers in a Reuters poll had expected the yield to be between 2.20 percent and 2.30 percent. The bonds will be issued on Feb. 16.
During a similar auction in November, the government sold 20-year bonds at a yield of 2.15 percent.
Taiwan plans to issue T$410 billion in government bonds this year, with the amount likely to increase to T$430 billion to fund the state treasury and a slew of infrastructure projects to boost the domestic economy.
