Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) - There's an insatiable appetite for new music from Britney Spears in the pop world. Her sole new track off last year's "The Singles Collection" hit #1 and is still a current radio staple, and her recently leaked rough demo of Lady Gaga's "Telephone," became an international sensation, making headlines and setting the blogosphere on fire with hundreds of thousands of downloads.

Now producer Rodney Jerkins aka Darkchild, who produced the rejected "Telephone" for Spears (which became a Top 5 hit for Lady Gaga and Beyonce), is talking about what he's working on for Spears' latest, which he says is going to be "incredible" and "unbelievable."

“[Britney's manager] Larry Rudolph came to my house and we had an incredible conversation about Britney’s new album. We talked about the direction of her album, he gave me some insight into the direction and he wants me to work on stuff," he said on UStream.

"So with that said, 'Telephone' did what it had to do and we’re very pleased with the results, but now I’m about to put 200% of my focus into writing a new smash for Britney’s new album. An international smash," he said.

"I think the fans deserve it, I think Britney deserves it and I can’t wait to get back into the studio with Britney," he added. Along with "Telephone," Spears and Jerkins previously collaborated on her single "Overprotected" as well as her covers of "I Love Rock 'n' Roll" and "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction."

"I’m about to go crazy on making something that’s so crazy. Since the conversation with Larry Rudolph I’ve studied some stuff from her last album and the Blackout album, and that was great stuff, but I’m gonna bring something a little bit greater. I’m gonna give it my all to deliver something that’s crazy, crazy amazing for Britney."

“The conversation with Larry went great, I know exactly what the direction is and I’m gonna kill it! I’m gonna create the most incredible, unbelievable track that you could ever think of to hit the planet earth, the galaxy, around the world, all of that, for Britney Spears!”

DJ Tiesto, who recently collaborated with Nelly Furtado and Tegan and Sara for his latest album, is also set to be working on the project. The album could be out as early as the end of 2010.

Britney's last album, "Circus," was released in 2008. It sold over 3.5 million copies worldwide and yielded a sold-out world tour.
