Foreign Affairs Minister George Yeo meets Latin American heads in Peru
Channel NewsAsia - Sunday, November 23
SINGAPORE: In Peru, where the APEC meeting is currently going on, Foreign Affairs Minister George Yeo met with President of the Inter—American Development Bank, Luis Alberto Moreno on Friday.
The two leaders discussed a broad range of issues including the global financial crisis and closer co—operation between Singapore and the Bank on projects in the Latin American region.
The financial meltdown was also a hot topic when Mr Yeo participated in a forum at the APEC CEO Summit earlier in the day.
Mr Yeo noted that after the global financial crisis was over, Asia would play a greater role in a new multi—polar world.
