The glitch is that although RC1 doesn't technically expire until then, beginning in March 1, 2010 RC1 will begin shutting down the PC its installed on until a non-expired version of an OS is installed. People who are interested in having cutting edge technology on their computers have until July 1 to decide whether to install the RC1 OS or not. Right now Microsoft has no limits on the number of downloads, which means people are free to install it on every computer they own - or not.
